Every once and awhile, I will post a story from my life as a National Geographic Photographer. This is the first of many true stories. Enjoy! Years ago I was assigned to photograph a family branding in western Nebraska. The ranch was located miles from the nearest town, so the family kindly invited me to stay at their house.
always loved this story.......lost in a pantless moment.
For me some of theses moments happened at dead shows.......moments where communal love was just everywhere, and unusually tangible.....immersive, outrageous, loud and surreal. And real. Oh so very real.
Thank you for sharing your ‘lens’ on life…love every one of your posts. You bring a lovely and contemplative perspective each time…I don’t just read your words, I feel them. Please keep writing and sharing…
I can just see you engaging with all these folks. . . and they were all so lucky to have your incredible talent and enthusiasm to document this important event!
This story is a classic. Annie, show us the photo!
Also, did you get a photo of the cowboys watching the pantless National Geographic photographer?
No...I just marched off, humiliated, to put on some pants!
Always loved this story as it created a great visual that brought me to tears laughing so hard. I just hope you were wearing wild colored undies!
All I care is that they weren't granny panties!
What a lovely note! Thanks so much...you made my day!
