Yesterday was my mom’s birthday. She would have been 98 years old. For some reason, 98 sounds very grand to me, and my mother was grand in so many ways. Like most mother/daughter relationships, ours had its highs and lows, but we found each other at last on the first and last paid vacation of my life.
What a beautiful tribute to honor your mother's birthday in afterlife. I think of my mother fondly on a daily basis because everything I do or see reminds me of her and what she taught me about becoming a good adult. I often wonder what she would think about anything I do now that she is gone. Ahh, memories.
I have no doubt that she would be enormously proud of you, Dina.

Lovely story and image of you and your mom!
Love how you and she loved eachother. And how you appreciate that.
I know. Weren't we lucky to live in a place where adventure was the norm? Hope you are well.
Nice memory Annie and well told. Reminds me of a few of my Boundary Waters trips.
Love.
Lovely story about your mom, a true outdoorswoman—what a treasured memory.
This reminds me of a certain camping trip with my own mom where we caught tummy flu but ended up having a great bonding experience nevertheless!
Oh Annie, this is so lovely. Thank you. ❤️
